The conclave to elect the following pope will begin on Might 7, based on the Vatican.

The choice was made on the Fifth Normal Congregation, held on Monday morning within the Vatican’s Synod Corridor. The conclave will happen within the Vatican’s Sistine Chapel, which is able to stay closed to guests throughout these days.

In line with the Vatican, there are presently 135 cardinal electors eligible to vote within the conclave, although the quantity who will attend and vote shouldn’t be but confirmed.

With the intention to be elected pope, a two-thirds majority of electors current is required.
