John Goodman Says Bidding Farewell To ‘The Conners’ Is “Actually Exhausting”

Greater than 35 years later, John Goodman is saying goodbye to Dan Conner.

With the two-part collection finale of The Conners airing Wednesday at 8/7c on ABC, the Emmy winner mentioned the seven-season revival has passed by “so quick” as he opened up about bidding farewell to the patriarchal character he originated on Roseanne in 1988.

“It’s actually onerous. It’s one thing I’m going to overlook for some time. I’m previous and resistant to vary,” he instructed Folks, including: “It was so thrilling after we bought this collectively and it looks like it was two weeks in the past. Displaying up each day and simply being right here with all people. It’s a fantastic place to work.”

Goodman mentioned, “It’s simply being right here each day and like [my costar] Jay [R. Ferguson] mentioned, we simply are available and chuckle loads. And it’s onerous.”

After ABC gave the collection an abbreviated renewal final Could for its seventh and remaining season, Goodman mentioned he’ll “be grateful for a very long time” that the community gave them the “courtesy” of permitting them to complete the present.
