Chloe Arensberg Named NBC Information Washington Bureau Chief

Chloe Arensberg has been named Washington, D.C. bureau chief for NBC Information.

She succeeds Ken Strickland, who’s shifting to the position of senior vice chairman of NBC Information editorial operations. He’s served as bureau chief for the previous 12 years.

Rebecca Blumenstein, president of NBC Information Editorial, wrote in a memo to staffers, “Throughout her final 5 years as Deputy Bureau Chief, Chloe has introduced her sharp editorial experience and discipline expertise to ship authoritative protection, aggressive scoops and breaking information.” She beforehand was at CBS Information, together with as Asia bureau chief and senior producer. Arensberg will report back to Catherine Kim, government vice chairman of editorial, and David Verdi, government vice chairman of worldwide newsgathering.

Blumenstein wrote that Strickland “will oversee and assist to evolve information operations to raised meet the wants of our bureaus and newsgathering. He can even assume direct management of our important discipline manufacturing operations in Washington. This expanded position could have him spending extra time in New York and throughout our bureaus, advising NBC Information management, in addition to Operations & Know-how and Amenities.” He’ll report back to Blumenstein. Strickland has been with the community for 30 years, together with roles at Dateline and the White Home.
